Avatar® Course Internship – Online

Reading and Profile

The following readings are for Masters as part of the Internship preparation. It is recommended to complete each part before the relevant Section of the course. For example prior to ReSurfacing starting you would at least need to have completed the relevant readings for ReSurfacing. For the page numbers refer to your table of contents in your Master Pack.

Personality Profile – if it is your first internship, or it has been a while, complete prior to Friday alignment meeting.

What you need to have with you:

• • Your Master ID number. You will need this to be confirmed for the internship and you will also need to be currently licensed. If you do not know your number, please email Miken (miken@avatarhq.com) and let your QM know.
  • Your Personality Profile completed present time for this course.
  • A copy of Section 2 and Section 3 materials for you (and for your student(s) when we are in person).
  • PowerUp Plus Pack – Living Deliberately, ReSurfacing® Workbook, The Avatar Path: The Way We Came, The Avatar Path 2: Private Lessons, The Avatar Legacy, Seven Pillars (or Mini-Courses).
  • Your Master Course pack.
  • Avatar Master’s Handbook. Please familiarise yourself with Chapter 4.
  • Current ReSurfacing Checklist for your reference (and for your student(s) when in-person).
  • Copy of Section 2 and Section 3 Checklist & Worksheets for your reference (and for your student(s) when in-person).
  • Avatar Registration printed for your students on IN-PERSON courses (see below for ONLINE reference points).
  • All checklists are available to download on AvatarMastersResource.com if needed.

• IMPORTANT REMINDER for IN-PERSON COURSES: Please be sure to bring copies of Section 2&3 Materials, Checklists/Worksheets and Avatar Registrations for you and your student(s) for the In-Person course. They are not needed for your students when we are online

Student Preparation (Online and In-Person):

Make sure your students are prepared with the following:

• You have aligned a connection call with your QM and student if you’ve not had it already. The preparation call is best on Zoom on the device they will using for the course and the location they will be in for the course.
•  Timings. Ensure you student is aware of the following:
  • Start, finals and break times.
  • Day 10: Ensure your student is aware of our Day 10 finish up day.
• Let them know of recommended readings before starting (given in order of how topics unfold during the course):

Online Courses:

Zoom Proficiency

All Masters will be made Co-Hosts for duration of the course. This comes with certain privileges within Zoom to allow you more options to support the flow of the course. Students will not be made Co-Hosts.

• Confidence in moving yourself and students between breakout rooms. Practice this so we have smooth opening transitions for you and the students.
• Ability to mute and unmute self and turn on and off video.
• Ability to pin multiple people
• Ability to allow a student to multi-pin.
• Ability to hide self-view and to be able to teach a student to hide self-view.
• Awareness of the “Close All Rooms” button and the vigilance not to press this.
• Switch on ‘Automatically join computer audio when joining a meeting’ in audio settings (and be able to help your student do this before their QM preparation call).
• If there are any of these steps you do not understand please contact your QM so you can be supported to be proficient.

Whats App Proficiency

We use Whats App as a behind scenes communication with Masters and also to call the students in the main zoom room as needed.

• A setup with your devices that allows you to use Zoom and Whats App at the same time.
• Ability to start group calls:
  • To easily initiate a group call participants need to be in your phone contacts.
  • If you do not have the students number you can message them individually on the Zoom chat box.

Online Student Preparation:

• The Avatar Registration Form (download from AvatarMastersResouce.com) needs to be completed in advance. There is a fillable PDF now available that can be filled out electronically and returned to you (or if they prefer to print and scan this is ok to). There does not need to be a witness. It can be supportive of your student for you to pre-fill with the details you have from their application before sending to them.
• Ensure your student is familiar with Zoom and they have tested their audio and video. Have a Zoom call with them to test everything and go over basic Zoom etiquette (eg to mute unless talking, good lighting with face visible and looking towards camera). Ensure they know to arrive a few minutes before the start time.
• Whats App is required on their phone and they need to be given the reference point that their number will be given to the Masters that will be supporting them in the course.

• NOTE: Australian Intern Fee has been updated from mid-August 2022 and is now 800AUD.
• For the Online Avatar Course the Intern Fee for Australian based Masters is 800AUD and for New Zealand based Masters it is 735NZD.
